For the second release of Macanudo Estate Reserve, we aged Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco in French Oak barrels used to create Flint Knoll’s Royal Appointment Cabernet Sauvignon. These barrels impart the 2019 growing season in Napa Valley, which was a warmer season with the perfect combination of early-season rain and warm summer days, producing a complex fruit-forward wine with spice, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. These characteristics for the vintage and wine bring a unique and distinctive smoking experience to the cigar.
